PAPER FOLDING: STARS
£35 for 2.5 hour workshop
An easy, experimental approach to printing. Create unique decorative papers with this hands on exploration of colour and pattern. Print without a press!
We will be using acrylic paints/inks including metalics, and a variety of easy print techniques: mono-printing, making simple stamps, over printing with foam plates and found objects. All techniques demonstrated - be brave with colour!
Great for beginners and those more confident with colour. This workshop is designed to produce decorative papers for using in the follow up paper-craft session: Paper Folding Fun, however, papers can be used for a variety of other crafting purposes. You'll take away: a set of A4 printed papers in a variety of designs, No prior print experience is required, just enthusiasm. Morning or afternoon session available. Small group: maximum of 6.
What's included?
2½ hours tuition, - all the printing materials you'll need, with tea or coffee also provided.

A relaxing paper-folding workshop. Ideal for beginners and anyone interested in making decorations for special occasions such as Christmas or a wedding, or as personal gifts for friends and family.
During the session you will make a variety of folded paper star ornaments from templates that I will provide - choose from a variety of papers: muted/natural palette, recycled and vintage papers and/ or bring your papers from the previous workshop on Paper Printing: Without A Press.
I'll demonstrate various techniques - paper folding and sculpting and origami techniques and I'll talk you through them step by step. There will be plenty of inspiring examples of simple gift wrap ideas incorporating star decorations with a Scandinavian feel, including using recycled papers and incorporating nature.
You'll take away: hand made paper decorations/gift toppers in a variety of star designs to take home to make into a garland, printed instructions/templates, and a selection of more beautiful papers for you to continue crafting. Also ideas and inspiration for inexpensive gift wrapping.
